After returning from the Greek/Canadian Intercultural Ceramics Symposium in the fall of 1997, I felt inspired by all the fantastic ceramics and art that I’d seen in Greece, some of it thousands of years old and began making some pieces under their influence.

I must have fallen in love with the flask, which is thrown in three parts: the body as a closed form, with the neck and foot thrown separately. I also continued decorating with the octopus theme. Why, I don’t know. (Oh those hundreds of suckers!).

To show the Greek inspired work, I arranged an exhibition at The Croft Gallery in Calgary in 1998, which I called A Glimpse of Greece.
